Taking Care of Me

“How will this day go?”

I prayed to have faith

To let God take control.

Will this day be "hum drum?"

Or will news fill me with fear?

Then I sensed the Lord's presence

As He gently drew near.

I opened up my heart wide

And heard Jesus say, "Come.

Let me be the 'hum,'

In your daily 'hum drum.'

Take one day at a time

And remember I'm here.

My grace fills each moment.

Pray, hope, believe, do not fear.

When you start to feel worried

About the news of the day,

Turn to Me for I'm listening

And with you I'll stay.

For no matter what happens

I will carry you through.

I am Lord of all history.

Trust in Me, I love you."

I respond, "Lord, I thank you!

These words of comfort help me see,

That You safely hold the future

And You're taking care of me!"
