Our Lady Queen of Angels Convent is a beacon amidst the projects of its East Harlem neighborhood. The sisters at Our Lady Queen of Angels, with the help of many dedicated associates and volunteers, have an extensive outreach to the poor and a variety of evangelization outreaches. The Fr. Solanus Soup Kitchen provides a hot meal and joyful friendly atmosphere for the 80 plus patrons who come each Saturday for lunch. During the rest of the week sandwiches and coffee are available at the front door to the homeless. 
While CFR sisters are not school teachers, we sure do spend a fair bit of time in schools! The sisters are often seen at Our Lady Queen of Angels School next door where they prepare the children for monthly Masses and lead the children in regular Eucharistic adoration. The sisters also enjoy seeing the gifts and talents of the children flourish as they direct the Lenten Stations and Christmas Nativity. The Upper Room Youth Group is a joy for children and sisters alike and the Harlem Summer Life program also makes the sisters popular among the youth of East Harlem!
